Took a drive along the banks of Maria Slough today and came up with 23 species. Most have been seen already but there might be a new one or two.

We saw a pair of Pileated Woodpeckers at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve today. Joanne and Bruce

Hi Some birds for the list. American Kestrel and Pileated Woodpecker were seen today on a trip to Dewdney and Deroche. Brewers Blackbird, N. Pintail, and Gadwall can be added also. See you in the field Len jellicoe

Hi, all.
The Townsend's Solitaire is a good find. As far as I know, this species has been missed on most local CBC's this winter.

Spotted a Peregrine Falcon on Sunday, along with all the Eagles and Red Tails circling the farm. Don't think it's on the list yet...

We're well on our way to 100!! All I have to add is a flock of Evening Grosbeaks. Deb, was hoping to hear that your White-breasted Nuthatch was still around!

Saw a juv Northern Shrike at Island 22 and a bunch of Tundra Swans at Harrison yesterday. It was nice to see a family with 4 young ones. I saw a Trumpeter Swan pair with 5 young recently as well! Oh, and also some Greater Scaup.

We saw a Green Heron near the South Lagoon and a male Canvasback on the North Lagoon at GBHNR today.

A Rough-legged Hawk was observed near the Yarrow overpass just off S. Parallel Rd in Sumas Prairie.
