This little fellow was seen following these adults throughout my extended visit today. Anyone know if he is a really little one or a duck with delusions of granduer?

WOW! I love this picture for so many reasons! So amusing (your comments add to the smiles) to see the little guy with the Swans. A Snow Goose (that's what he is) record for our area is always great. Do you have a location where you saw it? A young swan would be the same size as an adult, but would not be pure white but more gray. A really cool picture!

Nice photo and thanks for sharing, neepgrin! The Snow Goose is a great bird for this area. Welcome to the site as well.

Thanks for identifing the little one. The exact location of this little guy and the gigantic flock is on Tolmie Rd, end of Boundary Rd in the sumas area. I visited both on Jan 26 and 27. There is ample parking along Tolmie Rd for any photo enthusiasts, as the flock is spread between 2 fields on either side. They are not skittish and will provide the patient with overhead flyby shots. Enjoy carefully - if visiting the flock.
