As I mentioned in my intro, I'm very new to birding. This little one showed up in my yard about a week ago. I think it might be a vireo, but I'd really appreciate if someone could provide a positive id. thanks! Terri

Welcome to the site, Terri! As stated earlier, nice pictures of a Warbling Vireo and Western Tanager. Feel free to post pictures for ID anytime. It is good experience and fun for all of us. You obviously have a good camera for capturing bird pictures.
Thanks for sharing,
Dave

Nice pictures!! For fun, here's what our other common vireo looks like (red-eyed vireo) A warbling vireo has sort of a 'blank' expression while a red-eyed vireo (yes, they do have red eyes!) has more of a 'glower' with the dark line through their eye.

Thanks very much for the feedback...I really appreciate it. And Gord, that is a great way to describe the expression. Thanks also for the photo of the red-eyed vireo for comparison. Terri
