Very cool! I'm not a fossil expert though.

They look like concretions. Their appearance is not a match for the local rock types. The only in situ fossils in the Hope area consist of plant stems in sandy layers within conglomerate. This conglomerate is dated to the Tertiary period which post dates the dinosaurs. The only other sedimentary rock in Hope is shale which is pre dinosaur in age. These samples were most likely deposited by the Fraser river back when it was much larger then what we see today. I did a geological map of the District of Hope about five years ago. I believe it to be reasonably accurate. If Mr. Delair would like a copy, it would be no problem and I would be more then happy to look at some rocks and/or minerals. They are much more cooperative than birds.

That's neat looking! Here is a map showing where Dinosaur fossils have been found throughout the world. None really close to the Fraser Valley. The biggest site in BC is up in Tumbler Ridge.
