Hi all: Yesterday, when helping out with the Agassiz-Harrison CBC, Murray, Ted, Len, and I saw a number of raptors along the stretch of Highway 7, heading west of the intersection to Harrison Hot Springs. From here, along the highway to before where you start to climb Mt. Woodside , we saw 2 COOPER'S HAWKS, 1 AMERICAN KESTREL, a couple of BALD EAGLES, a RED TAILED HAWK, and a PEREGRINE FALCON. In the same stretch, but not on count day, Murray had a MERLIN. Not all the birds were right along the road, but the actual area was quite small. An interesting area to check out. Enclosed is a picture taken along one of the Fraser River sloughs. I was actually trying to get a picture of aCanvasback, but got the Buffleheads instead. I still haven't figured how to do much with a picture, other than download it, and post it, but anyways!?. Cheers, Thor Thor Manson Hope, B.C.
