Hello birders,
I spent an hour down at Eagle Point today. Eagles were out in full force-incredible sight today. Birds of interest included seven Dunlin walking the mud flats, many Tundra Swans, and one Peregrine Falcon sitting in a tree watching the hundreds of Green-winged Teal.
Other birds included: Trumpeter Swans Bufflehead American Wigeon Common and Barrow's Goldeneye Common Merganser Gadwall Mallard Pine Siskin Dark-eyed Junco Song Sparrow Winter Wren Spotted Towhee Downy Woodpecker Common Raven Northwestern Crow Mew Gull Glaucous-winged Gull Herring Gull Golden-crowned Kinglet Ruby-crowned Kinglet Red-winged Blackbird Steller's Jay Great Blue Heron Belted Kingfisher Black-capped Chickadee
There was also a Dipper in the creek that runs through the golf course.
Good birding, Brent Schmor Harrison Mills

Good report Brent. You weren't able to turn any of those Green-winged's into a Eurasian were you?

Hi Kevin, yes we moved in mid October. We have really been enjoying the Eagle show out here. It is amazing to think that the most common bird you see from you backyard are Eagles.
Murray, I have been checking the large flock of Green-winged's looking for a Eurasian. I believe Gord spotted one during Eagle Fest so if I relocate I will definately post.
