In Sumas Prairie: 1 tundra swan, 300 trumpeter swans, 2 Peregrines, 2 Am. Kestrels, 1 Meadow Lark. Peregrines always create some kind of exciting interaction. Near the interection of Powerhouse and Wellsline Rds. I stopped to scan a flock of 250+ swans. The one closest to the road was the Tundra! Then out of the corn stubble a peregrine lifted up and eventually scattered and succesfully caught a Green-winged teal. As he was plucking the feathers another peregrine appeared(probable juvenile) and some friendly squabbling occured. A moment later 2 Bald eagles came into view, scattered the falcons and picked up the carcass on the wing. The falcon made another attempt to get dinner but was unsuccessful.
