Spotted a Lesser Yellowlegs this afternoon at Eagle Point (actually in the boat launch at Tapadera). There were also 3 Killdeer. I have a photo of the Yellowlegs so will post for confirmation. Have to say too that I have never seen as many Eagles as I am seeing right now. I will post a picture I took this afternoon of the trees just off of Sandpiper Golf course......

Hi Kathy et al: Murray Brown, and I, were out there this afternoon, maybe a half hour ahead of you, and also saw the yellowlegs. Interesting to read what you said about the eagles. I didn't make it out there for the festival, but, certainly, today, at Eagle Point, and Harrison Mills, was the most Bald Eagles I have ever seen in one area- What a spectacle!! Murray, an avid fisherman, also identified the salmon swimming around; ( I think Chum ), and the fact that the Ring billed Gull, swimming beside the spawning fish was actually feeding on the eggs. We tried to pull a rare gull out of the mutlitudes, both here, and at Kilby, but were content to marvel at the sights at the quantity of birds. Swans, observed, all appeared to be Trumpeters. Nice to see a fair number of Canvasbacks, and some Common Goldeneyes, as well. ( at Kilby ). I had earlier been to the Cheam Wetlands, where I was surprised to see the lake was mostly frozen over; a few downed trees as well from the heavy snow-dutifully being taken of by FVRD Parks personnel. I could only find two Trumpeter Swans here; lots of American Wigeons, and a few Hooded Mergansers. A great late fall day to be out birding. Chees, Thor
