Hiya... I just thought I'd share this... Right now Adobe has a sale on their year long subscription for Photoshop and Lightroom together for only $10 a month! I haven't had Photoshop for a couple of years, so this is awesome! I've been holding off doing some final edits on a project that I shot over two years, so this is perfect timing! Let the fun begin! www.adobe.com

Kylie, I have been using Photoshop Elements for a few years now and would highly recommend it for any photo editing. I've used Photoshop is a past life and found it a bit heavy for what I wanted to do.
One project I did with Elements was take some slides (taken from the 60's to 2005) I digitised. Elements colour corrected the shots and I cropped where needed before I printed them.
Also, now I pass all my shots through Elements prior to printing, posting to this site, etc.

For quickie editing, I just use iPhoto. I was pretty proficient with Photoshop back when I used it all the time and I am just in love with LightRoom, which I started with last year. I had to leave Photoshop behind when I left my husband, so I'm very happy to have it back finally! LOL
I have some slides that I need to digitize eventually... how did you do that?

I have a old slide scanner. When I upgraded my desktop I did not attach it but must do that soon. It worked quite well. I still have 1000's of slides to do.

Oh cool. Yes, my slides are waaaaaay on the back burner, but something I want to do someday so that they see the light of day again before they disintegrate. Hahaha.
