Hi- They've arrived today at the mouth of Silver Creek in Hope. Once the weather improves I'll be able to give more details but it looks like 11 Double-crested cormorants in total and 6 appear to be juveniles.

Wow, that's good numbers, Deb! Is that typical numbers for your area?
Keep the data rolling in. It's people like us who help so much in regards to field work and local knowledge to help preserve the necessary components for birds and other wildlife.

No, in previous years there were only four or five.

We've been invaded! There are now 15 cormorants.

Hi Didn't think I'd be updating the Double-crested Cormorant numbers yet again, but as of this morning the total is 20 at the mouth of Silver Creek in Hope -truly record numbers for this area as we've only had 4 to 5 in the last few years.
