Hello birders,
I birded the east side of Matsqui Trail Regional Park today. The wind put a bit of a damper on the outing but I did manage to find a few migrants. One surprise was a Hermit Thrush. I can't recall seeing one this early, at this elevation, in migration. Also, I found a handful of BTG Warblers, one Townsend's, two Warbling Vireos, and one Red-eyed Vireo. I saw a number of flycatchers. I identified two as Pacific-slope, but the rest will have to go unidentified.

I agree, Brent. I think the only Hermit Thrushes Ive seen myself in the valley are during the winter.
