Jeff, Dave and I met at Island 22 to spend a couple hours walking. It was overcast and a little windy at times (and the mosquitoes decided to show up in a little higher of numbers just to make a liar out of me) but it was nothing a little repellent couldn't handle.
At the start, it was a little quiet but found a few small flocks of migrants that kept us busy.
The highlight of the morning was getting great views of four great horned owls! We saw one at first just after it caught a mole. Then in quick succession we came across the rest. All were identifiable as unique individuals and/or were last seen in a different area so we're sure it was four. As they were close together, I expect it might have been a family.
Thanks for coming out guys! It was a nice walk!
