Got home from Chwk late this afternoon and spotted an Ash-throated Flycatcher in the garden! Got a couple of photos as it hopped across the garden and up into the apple tree then into a maple along the slough. This is the 3rd siteing that I've had, and I think Rick Toochin has seen two, so this is number 5 since 2007.  |

Fantastic sighting Kevin. And beautiful picture as well. Because site fidelity is so common among certain birds it makes me wonder if this isn't the same, or one of the same, birds from the past?
You guys just keep kicking them out!

Kev and Marion, well done again you guys! As Murray says, one has to wonder if this repeat visitor is the same bird(s) but given the first one was in 2007, 6 years ago, that's a pretty lucky bird to have survived that long. Not impossible though. Keep us posted. I bet you'll notice a few birders poking around your neighborhood tomorrow. Jason and Todd have mentioned they'll be by tomorrow morning or so so finger's crossed for them any anyone else who tries.

I had some time this morning so I took the opportunity to see this bird. I didn't hear it or see it. Lots of surrounding territory so could still be in the area.
