After reading Gord's report of the two BCHU hummers at Hope, I decided to spend a little more time examining my local flock of Rufous.
Success! At 07:45 this morning one of the males turned out to have a green rather than brown back. He came back several times over the next hour and I was able to get some pretty close-up photos.
Curiously, it was one year ago to the day that I had a male Calliope at the same feeder. That makes four hummer species here in Agassiz for me.
On the same theme, I have just read where a male Costa's is coming to a feeder in Squamish, I believe. The same feeder that hosted one last summer. Same bird? I suspect it would be.

Nice Murray. I've also been checking my feeder but have not got one yet. I was going to buy a picture frame to show the 3 species I have had but maybe I should get one that holds 4 pic's.

Murray, awesome sighting. Like you I have been watching my feeder closely. The Rufous' are very entertaining to watch but no Calliope or Black-chinned yet. Here are a few pictures Murray took
