While heading down Stevenson Road on my way to check the east Chilliwack fields to see what was shaking I had a Blue Jay fly in front of me. The white in the wings and tail was surprisingly noticeable. It landed in a tree near 46410 Stevenson Road which is just west of Chilliwack River Road. I looked at it with my binoculars but by the time I got a camera out it had flown. There were a couple Steller's Jay in the area as well which this bird may be associating with.
Hope Chris and Kev get to fulfill their wishlist as I see this one is on their list. I will check on it again tomorrow morning.

Thanks. This is the first time I've seen a Blue Jay in our checklist area.
I looked for it briefly this morning but no luck. It is very likely to still be in the area though.
