Saw a Eurasian Teal mixed in with about 7 Green-winged Teal this morning at the pump station near the end of Glenmore Rd in Abbotsford. First one for me! Ed

Ed, excellent sighting and sharp eye! That is only the second record we have for that population of Green-winged Teal in our checklist area. I saw one on the Chehalis Estuary a few winters ago. Here is a picture Ed got of the Eurasian Teal To contrast, here's a Green-winged Teal such as we see regularly. The main differences are no pale borders on the head, a white bar on the breast, thin white bar on the side (as opposed to a big one on the Eurasian) and lacking a white bar on the flanks.
