On our morning walk today along the dyke west of Limbert Mountain was a regal looking Golden Eagle. It circled above us at a fairly low height and gave great views of it's identifiable markings.
I believe it must have been an immature transitioning into adult plumage as it had the characteristic white tail band of an immature but the wings were all dark, as an adults would be.
It was huge, but much more streamlined appearing than the other guys that are getting all the attention this weekend!

Murray, good find and a nice little treat to spice up the morning walk.
