Great Len.....When I was in South America last year we saw lots of Kingbirds both Tropical and Social. Most of my pic's were them sitting at the top of trees just like the shot you got.
These are all great shots.

Len and Dian. Great photos. The Rock Sanpiper is a tough one to get since the flock of Black Turnstones it hangs out with keeps moving around and spreading out in various places on both sides of the jetty. Good birding, John Vooys, Abbotsford.

These are all great shots. DaveP Thanks Dave. I know what you mean by those Kingbirds down there. Thick-billed, Western, Tropical, Kiskadee etc. They all look the same.

Len, all great captures. That Oystercatcher is my favourite one. Not an easy species to get a photo of.

Very nice series len, great shots too. The shots I get from the jetty always seem to look different (better) from the rest of the areas in the lower mainland. I guess its just the landscape.

Fantastic images Len. Your photography is amazing - so clear and sharp! Thanks Ken and everyone else who commented on the pictures. I used the tripod on all but the Kingbird and I think it shows. The Kingbird is not as sharp.
