A quick visit to Harrison Lake produced a nice Lapland Longspur. The wind was quite fierce coming down off the lake which did not make me pout about not having much time for a walk. The longspur fed peacefully on weed seeds. Three Horned Larks and a handful of American Pipits were also here. The larks. There was a leuistic American Dipper along the edge of the lake. I dont think I've ever seen one like this before. It did not seem to hamper his abilities to fight with other dippers (a favourite dipper pass time) as it managed to maintain his stretch of beach from another dipper that dared get too close. Quite the pounding surf! Noted three Horned Grebe, over a dozen Bufflehead (most I've seen this fall so far) eight Barrow's Goldeneye, and a half-dozen Greater Scaup as well.

Got out briefly yesterday, but didn't see the Longspur or the Dippers. Did see 4 pipets and got a photo when I noticed the 1 on the left had leucistic tail feathers.
