Rick Toochin forwarded me his sighting of an immature Black-throated Green Warbler from Jack Delair's place next to Hope Airport today. It was on the trail by the river with a flock of Yellow-rumped Warblers.

Has anyone been able to relocate and confirm this very rare warbler?

Mike unfortunately, as far as I know this bird has not been relocated or confirmed. Warblers can be very tough to get photos of, and objectively speaking, it’s tough to say based purely on the photograph provided. Furthermore, considering the close similarity between Townsend’s and Black-throated Green at this time of year, it's tough to say 100% that this is indeed a Black-throated Green, which given how rare this bird is, that is the standard we have to go by. I hope it can be relocated or better photos obtained to get a confirmation of this individual. It might be a tough relocation, given the nice weather we have been having.
