Today Dots and I were at Reifel to check out the shore birds. Turns out some recent work on the ponds has caused some of them to be drained. This has effected the number of birds to see but there still a few around. Of the 25 birds we saw were these shorebirds: Western Sandpiper Least Sandpiper Killdeer Dowitcher Yellowlegs Solitary Sandpiper Sanderling and a couple of Pectoral Sandpiper. The Pectoral is considerably bigger than the WesternPectoral SandpiperI was happy to get the Pectoral's but as we were leaving we ran into Gord coming in. He reminded me that they were in Chilliwack in May (which I had forgot). Oh well now I have them again. DaveP
