I was up in Thor's neighborhood and on my travels along the trail (Sucker Creek Trail) and despite the rain, I saw/heard a few species. Sadly no black and white warbler, or much in the way of warblers aside from a lone yellow-rumped warbler. There were TONS of rufous hummingbirds buzzing about and dodging the raindrops. A pair of red-breasted sapsuckers were together 'mewing' softly to each other right over my head. Beautiful! I heard a few evening grosbeaks as well.
Miserable day, but Mac's awesome sighting gave me renewed incentive to put up with the rain drops on my upturned face.
Ugh!
