Hey everyone, Unfortunately I haven't been able to get out much recently. I was in Saskatoon again last weekend and actually picked up a lifer on a local golf course - an American Bittern was skulking around a slough about 20 ft from me and actually in the open. Very pleasant surprise! Went out this morning around Brydon and picked up 29 species. It's been quieter lately but hopefully some migrants, including warblers, start coming through in the next few weeks. Spotted a Cooper's hawk today, which I hadn't seen in a while so it was a pleasant surprise. The marsh had green-winged teal again and 1 gadwall. Also 5 sandpipers, which I believe are western. Seems that the VG swallows have moved on, but lots of barn and northern RW swallows around including some young ones. Here's my complete list: Canada Goose 75 Gadwall 1 Mallard 30 Green-winged Teal 3 Great Blue Heron 1 Cooper's Hawk 1 Killdeer 1 Western Sandpiper 5 Glaucous-winged Gull 1 Belted Kingfisher 1 Willow Flycatcher 1 Steller's Jay 1 Northwestern Crow 2 Northern Rough-winged Swallow 8 Barn Swallow 20 Black-capped Chickadee 8 Red-breasted Nuthatch 1 Brown Creeper 1 Marsh Wren 1 American Robin 2 European Starling 3 Cedar Waxwing 20 Common Yellowthroat 2 Spotted Towhee 4 Song Sparrow 2 Red-winged Blackbird 15 House Finch 3 American Goldfinch 12 House Sparrow 5

Nice work Randy. Love that last shot.
Seems like the waterfowl are coming back.

Thanks for the update, Randy. I'm always interested in what you're seeing at Brydon as it's one of the closer hot spots to my home. Great shots of the swallows!

Thanks for the comments guys.
Stepped out for about 20 minutes today just to check out the marsh and lagoon. The marsh still had multiple gadwall and GW teal. Also 2 greater yellowlegs. The lagoon was all mallards except a single female common merganser, which was a nice treat.
