In my travels locally there was lots of activity.
The most noisy were the ruby-crowned kinglets and yellow-rumped warblers singing away. It was cool to see the ruby crowns showing their ruby crowns which is usually hidden unless excited.
Cheam Lake was quite busy. LOTS of hummers and I feel much more than last year which ended up being a very quiet hummer year. There were males everywhere displaying so there had to be some females about to prompt their aerial display. Out on the lake were two young trumpeter swans.
The redhead is still at Salish Pond. I can see him from my office window. ;D
