hello bill i was wondering if those willow flycatchers might be pacific-sloped flycatchers or hammond's flycatchers which should be starting to arrive now; while the willow flycatcher starts to arrive around mid may. this group of birds can be quite tricky to id. one needs to look at lower mandible colour, shape of head, length of wingtips, length of tail, bold or weak eye ring and voice(which can be the most helpful). if they are willow flycatchers they are extremely early.
