Linda sent me some good pictures and shared some good sightings. Out in Seabird Island two Trumpeter Swans continue to be seen. These are most likely the same two Murray and Gary had been reporting. The photos were taken on Sunday the 13th of May. On the swan note, I spoke at the Abbotsford Field Naturalists last week and hear that the Trumpeter Swan in Willband Creek Park is still there, and was joined by a second bird that flew in and landed nearby. This report would be from the first week in May. Back to Linda's report, she also had fun watching a feisty male Ruddy Duck at Sardis Pond. It seemed to have a bone to pick with a Pied-billed Grebe and would keep chasing it back towards shore. She also got a picture of some nice Northern Shovelers, a family of Canada Geese being carefully monitored by a crow. Thanks, Linda!
