Today 'Butterfly' and I were walking in the Heron Res near the large bridge and we saw a Bobcat come out of the bush chasing a rabbit . The Bobcat saw us and put on the breaks.....the rabbit kept going to safety. After a couple of seconds it just turned and went back into the bush. [ Lots of fun.... DaveP

The thing that's crazy Dave is that my wife and I just saw a Bobcat yesterday wanting to cross the highway near Oliver! It must be a Bobcat population explosion or something. Great shots, but sadly to say, we didn't manage to get a shot off till ours disappeared.

Dave, those are superb pictures of the Bobcat. You have had good success with this species. Healthy looking individual as well.

Thanks all. I nearly missed the cat because my battery was nearly gone. I rushed back to the car and got a fresh one and about 2 min later the bobcat showed up. "Think like a boy scout - be prepared" and luck will come your way.

Fantastic shots and quite the experience to see one so close. Good thing you went back for a battery rather than find out it was dead when the cat appeared!
