Between Point A and Point B I was driving on Prairie Central Road just west of Prest in Chilliwack and pulled over to check a bunch of eagles. There were over 20 Bald Eagles, mostly juveniles. Among them feeding on something in a field was a juvenile Golden Eagle. This might be the bird that Dave Beeke mentioned to me that he suspected he saw last week while driving and not able to stop to confirm. Well, Dave, you were probably right. ;D
On the topic of eagles, usually the Bald Eagles have dispersed more by now. Anyone else feel there's a few more than normal around for middle April?

Gord, I was wondering about that myself. Looking at the 2010 Stokes Bird Guide range map, it appears that some remain here along the entire BC coast. How many should we have here now, and how many cross over into northern BC and northern Canada? Is this a new trend? Aren't things changing for many of the salmon species as well? Global change?
