Hi Fraser Valley Birders: Today, I made a fundamental id error, and called a Say's Phoebe a female Mountain Bluebird. All I can feebly say ( bad pun ), is that when I arrived on the scene the birds were practically side by side, and the Phoebe actually flew towards the Bluebirds. I can honestly say my first thought was Say's Phoebe, ( oh, sure ), but put that id out of my mind when I saw how closely the birds were associating. In any event the Phoebe was seen on Airport Rd, ( the north side of the airport perimeter road ), about 300-400 metres west of the airport terminal builiding. There are a couple of pictures of this bird, ( improperly labeled ), in the Photo Gallery. Thanks to Dave, and Brent, for very gently pointing out my error. Just a reminder to anyone driving to Hope from the West, highway 1, I believe is still closed. You'll have to take highway 7 to Hope, and then backtrack to the airport through Silver Creek. Cheers, Thor
