In the grove of trees west of the lagoon and south of the path I heard a call that I wasn't familiar with. I tried to record it and I've attached the audio. You'll have to crack your speakers all the way up. The main call is as soon as the file starts and it sounds like there is a response call from a different location at about 4s, 8s, and 10s. The response is somewhat different so I'm not positive if it's even the same species. Anyway, despite the poor recording, I'm hoping someone can help me out. Attachments:

Randy, good job on the recording. Sounds to me like Bewick's Wrens. They can sing slightly differently especially if doing a shortened version of their song.

Thanks a lot for the help Gord. With your suggestion I reviewed the Bewick's call and you're dead right (of course). Call ID is definitely something I need to work on!
