I had the first rufous hummingbird of the season at my feeder this afternoon - S. Langley. Making a bigger batch of nectar!! The Anna's hasn't been around for about a month. Do they migrate away during the summer?

Pat, great news, thanks for letting us know! I think you got the first ones last year as well. The kids and I got our feeders ready. We had one out for the Anna's (which we havnt seen for a few months now).
The Anna's dont really migrate, but I think when they start to nest they can change their habits. They nest quite early sometimes. Amazing little birds.
