Hi Fraser Valley Birders: For those that may not subscribe to either bcintbird, Tweeters, or Inland NWbirders, a mega rarity Ross's Gull has been spotted, and photographed on Palmer Lake in Washington State. Palmer Lake is about 6 miles south of the Canadian/U.S. border, near Oroville on the Loomis/Tonasket Rd. More detailed directions are available on the above sites, which can be accessed on the Birding on the Net website, or by e-mailing me at thormanson@live.com. I have seen this bird last spring on Gambell Island in Alaska, so I will probably not chase it, but I will monitor the reports coming in. There is also a reasonable possibility that it may show up on Osoyoos Lake, as it is pretty close. If it does, I will report that as well. Cheers, Thor
