Green Herons in Chilliwack

Russ Cannings, who runs a blog of rare bird sightings for BC, let me know that he had a report of two Green Herons from out Camp Slough way a couple days ago. These guys are not often seen in the winter.

I think I overheard Dave saying last night that someone he knows saw one too recently out in East Chilliwack.

There seems to be a few that overwinter the last few years. I rememeber 1 or 2 last year at Sardis Park and the year before that there was one in Hope Slough.
