Harrison Lagoon this morning. Spotted what looks like to my eye a 2nd year Glaucous Gull. Also a couple of Long-tailed Ducks, 1 by the Floatplane Dock and 1 by the Boat Launch. Also: Lesser Scaups, Mallards, Green-winged Teals, Am. Widgeons, Am. Coots, Horned Grebes, Red-necked Grebes, Canada Geese, Cackling Geese, Glaucous-winged, California, Ring-billed, Mew, and Herring Gulls.

Kev, that looks like a Glaucous Gull to me. Nice work. Seems like the number of waterfowl is increasing too.

Kevin, sharp eye on the gull! Nice to see the Long-tailed Ducks are kicking around still too.

Thanks Chris, Gord & Kestrel. Got out again at lunch and there were a lot more geese but no long-tails or Glaucous... There were 4 Hooded Mergansers in the Lagoon and 7 Northern Pintails flying back and forth, but not deciding where to land. Also spotted a single D.C. Commerant flying East, then North up the lake.

Good ID on the gull, Kevin. I stopped by yesterday on the way home from work and it was on the logs way out by the marina. Still clearly visible and I thank Janne for pointing it out to me. Good eyes, Janne.
