Around midday I had at least two Common Redpoll fly overhead. I wasnt able to spot them even though they sounded to be flying quite low. This is the second encounter Ive had with them this winter. Perhaps the Snowy Owls have brought some of their northern friends along.

Hey Gord and fellow birders Today I also had several Common Redpolls in a flock of close to 150 Pine Siskins. I saw at least 3 redpolls; could have been more as they kept moving amongst the cedar trees. Seems like a good year for siskins around here and maybe also for redpolls. This was in my yard.
