There was a Northern Hawk Owl and a large flock of Pine Grosbeaks on Mt. Frosty in Manning Park yesterday, October 29. My colleague, John, shares his photo below:

Great reply, Len, I enjoyed it and felt the poke in the side . My excuse for a lack of photo is that I was not on the Frosty Hike, just my colleague John was. ;D I reread my post and realize that I did not make that clear. I actually have not been birding in a long time. Some weekend construction projects have kept me very busy. But I just finished up a project last Saturday, so my schedule is getting better and I hope to find my binoculars and camera soon. I snuck out to Harrison yesterday before dark in hopes of some photos of the Glaucous Gull, but it was too far away for photography. I did take some photos of a Coyote in Agassiz though. Len, since you have the same equipment as I do, are you willing to meet on a Saturday in November for some birding and photography? I would really appreciate the help. Any location is fine with me. Let me know, Dave
