An eastern Blue Jay has been visiting my feeder over the past couple of weeks. Last sighted Monday Oct. 17, did get a picture but I am technologically impaired and it will take me forever to figure out how to post it here. If anyone more adept at this wants to give me their email address, I could send it on and you could post it?

Hi Pat! Fantastic sighting. If you like, you can send it to my email and I will post it. Yours is the second seen this fall after a few years of not seeing any.

Pat, fantastic sighting! This is the 7th record of this species in our area.
Thanks for letting Gord post the picture as well.

Few Blue Jays popping up. My mom has had one at her place for a week now too. (Langley)

Wow, two Blue Jays in the Lower Mainland is certainly of note! Thanks for sharing. Ask your mom to keep track of when it's last seen for the record keepers.
The Nicomen Island bird was seen again today as well. Last year, a Western Scrub-Jay was at this location from the fall through to this spring. I saw one west of Hatzic Lake in early February of this year which is a bit of a distance from Nicomen Island and conceivable, especially since there are a few records of late for this species, that it was a different bird.
