Hi everyone, I took a quick stroll behind my place at the above locations and it was actually fairly productive. I counted 32 species, which seems to be pretty good for the area. Here's what I saw: Gadwall 4 American Wigeon 8 Mallard 25 Northern Shoveler 1 Green-winged Teal 6 Canvasback 1 Ring-necked Duck 1 Pied-billed Grebe 6 Great Blue Heron 1 Osprey 1 Glaucous-winged Gull 2 Belted Kingfisher 1 Hairy Woodpecker 1 Northern Flicker 2 Steller's Jay 1 Northwestern Crow 5 Common Raven 1 Black-capped Chickadee 1 Bushtit 15 American Robin 1 European Starling 10 Orange-crowned Warbler 1 Spotted Towhee 1 Song Sparrow 2 Lincoln's Sparrow 2 White-crowned Sparrow 2 Golden-crowned Sparrow 2 Dark-eyed Junco 4 Brewer's Blackbird 6 House Finch 8 American Goldfinch 9 House Sparrow 8 Here's a duck that was on the lagoon. I was hoping for some ID help. Is it just a mallard? It wasn't with the other mallards, seemed to have a more upright posture, an oranger bill, and a more prominent pale supercilium. I'm sorry the picture is poor - I had to max out my zoom and crop it. Hopefully it's good enough to confirm ID: Randy - Langley

Thanks Dave. My yard/area that I back onto is still a huge novelty for me and I don't see myself getting sick of it anytime soon!

That's a really great list. We haven't been there but it looks like somewhere we would like to visit. Thanks for posting.
