hello birders just had 18 bohemian waxwings land in the blue elderberry outside of my house 30 minutes ago. 16 ate the berries for two minutes while two stayed behind and feasted for about 20 minutes. a new yard bird. the snow must be driving them down off of mount cheam where gord saw 200+. cheers, jason ryder lake,bc

Jason: Nice bird for lower elevation Fraser Valley. What's your backyard count up to now? You get lots of birds in that location. Cheers, Thor

Nice work Jason! Great encouragement to watch the valley for more. I suspect you're right with the snow pushing the birds down. I cant see them going far as there are lots of berries to be had.
