I gave my daughter a list of choices for her non-instructional day and she chose feeding ducks. So we went off to Reifel and she had a great time although she wasn't all that thrilled with the Chickadees who wanted in on the action. Unfortunately I had the wrong lens on when this happened and she refused to pose a 2nd time. Regardless it was cloudy so there wasn't much in the way of photo opportunities. My best from this outing was of a female Lesser Scaup who was close enough to use my 200m f2.8 lens. Checked out the Tsawwassen Jetty on the same outing, lots of birds in the water but with the sun low in the southern sky you can't really capture anything. Boundary Bay was desolate but 72nd was a raptor gauntlet with Herons, Harriers and countless Eagles. Saturday looks really promising - I can't decide where to go.... Attachments:

Beautiful shot of the scaup. Your daughter is adorable!! I love hand feeding the chickadees and could do it for hours!
