Why is it I always see more birds the closer I am to high traffic areas?
I was poking around Blaney Bog today in Maple Ridge - not a peep despite the fact that its a remote undisturbed area that sees no humans.
So I'm returning to the car all dejected when I spot this fellow near the road - I'm sure its a Dipper which would be a lifer for me.
Tomorrow I think I'm going to try my luck at Mill Pond - it amazes me how you guys always come back with sightings of 20+ species every time.

Nice! Is it me, or is everyone becoming more creative with their captions. Love this one!
