Ken, nice pictures of the Chestnut-backed Chickadees. They aren't as entertaining as the Black-capped but still a great bird. Before I forget the best I could manage is this photo. If the Chestnut-backed wasn't pounding away on a seed it would have been better.

Good luck with that project. Just doing a Google search I couldn't find one with both species. Funny thing is I often have these guys at my feeder all the time but they take turns - I could probably get both in the same bush but it would have to be a wide shot. BTW Here's Karen's entry in the Chickadee contest

That is one beautiful image Karen. How not to love these little guys! Hmmm this challenge to get both species in the same shot is really turning out to be a challenge, especially if we rule out feeder captures..

My recent attempt at this challenge. Only took about 250 images (of single birds) and 1 hr of coaxing, begging, pleading, bribing to get the two species to share the same image!
