It was blue skies and windy ...cold on Tuesday but worth the trip we saw green winged teals shovelers eagles sanderlings dunlins lincons sparrow( ) flickers pied billed grebe (tangled in mesh) Brant Mr Grumpy..its to cold here!!! male harrier no owls ... we also saw lesser yellow legs rt hawks chickadees junco song sparrow Godwit wigeons coot gadwalls bufflehead white crowned sparrow golden crowned sparrow great birdy day

Great series Trudi. I don't think you have a Lincolns Sparrow there. Only a Song Sparrow It looks a little lighter than some Song Sparrows but I think it may be the light. Too bad about the Pied-billed. I once saw a Western Grebe like that at Boundary Bay.

Not only some very nice images Trudi, but I take my hat off to you for braving the cold and wind on the bay. You must have once been been a 'Northern or Prairie Girl". What part of Boundary Bay were the Brants?

a little late i know but anyway better late than never... the Brant's were at the 12th road entrance there were quite a few ...and Ken it was a beautiful day wrapped properly we did not get cold at all here in Chilliwack yes it was a cold miserable day!!thats why we went there...

Ah ... been to England in winter. Cottage with no central heating. Brrrrr I can feel the damp cold.
