The following is a short message to anyone living near Pitt Meadows or heading out that way in the near future. This evening around 7-7:30pm at the entrance to Pitt Lake (no proper parking spot there), I thought I saw a female American Redstart in a bush. It moved about quite quickly and it must have been as curious as I was. I don't know how common they are here. Sorry, no picture to show. A good camera is on my list. Thanks guys! Damion

Damion Hi damion-there have been reports of Redstarts on the dyke at Grant Narrows this year. I have seen them there in June, just past where they rent canoes. Last year they nested in the area.
