hello birders
late this evening there was a white-throated sparrow just down from my place on elk view rd.
in a late report from yesterday, there was 9 long-billed dowitchers at island 22; today denis knopp saw 7 of then at shephard's slough. also, on banford rd. there was 400 or so american pipits. i have never seen a flock that big; they just kept flying in. kept looking for a horned lark or some other species of pipit, but they all were american pipits. d**n!
