This afternoon there were two Yellowlegs at the north end of Eagle Point Park. I also saw what I think were 3 American Pipit, they were in an area with two Snipe. Even with the binoculars I can't be sure but judging from the posture and the fact I'm pretty sure I saw buff color on the breast of one of them, I think they were Pipits. Yesterday afternoon saw 7 - yes 7! - Snipe, all together in the same area, all out in the open feeding in the mud. Eagle Point itself has been very quiet. All the activity is off the grasslands to the north of the viewing platform. In the last two days I've seen quite a few Heron, a couple of Spotted Sandpiper, 9 or 10 Killdeer, a flock of 20 or so Brewer's Blackbirds, an adult male Northern Harrier, a Sharp Shin Hawk and lots of Barn Swallows all in that little area.
