hello birders i haven't been getting out too much in the last couple of months, but have sure noticed a lot of movemrnt around the ryder lake area. i have been seeing flocks of black-throated grey warblers of up to 12 birds, yellow warblers, wilson's warbler, oranged-crowned warblers, yellow-rumped warblers and red-eyed, cassin's, and warbling vireos. also, hearing lots of evening grosbeaks and the odd pine siskin. the american kestrels that were nesting around banford rd. and mcguire rd. produced one bird this year. i saw the young bird two days ago with the adult male and female. cheers, jason ryder lake,bc
