Walked over to Eagle Point just now, was amazed to see a Varied Thrush in the area by the viewing stand. Seemed awfully early to see one. Other than that the area along the trail was totally devoid of life. Perhaps due to an excavator working on the other side of the fence.
A lot more ducks in the area, lots of Mallard of course, quite a few Green Wing Teal, a pair of Northern Shovelers and some Widgeon - all the ducks are just getting their color so I couldn't be positive, but it looked to me like two of the Widgeons were of the Eurasian variety. More eagles around now too but so little water I'm not sure how any salmon are supposed to move into the area. I did see one dead one so I guess some are trying.
