Today at 3:30pm my wife and I had a male Anna's Hum on the boardwalk at Mill Pond. We spent about 10 minutes with it so this may be one of its favorate spots.
Directions: we entered the boardwalk after parking at the art centre. About 150 meters down the boardwalk ends and you have the option of joining another boardwak on the left or going straight and leaving the park. Take the boardwalk left. The bird was high on the trees about 5 meters down this trail. Its vocal and very active.

Saw the Anna's Hummingbird today at 12:15. It preferred the south side of the boardwalk, so the lighting was terrible. Being a silhouette, added exposure was needed to record any definition. Daylight flash would probably work, but be sure to keep the shutter speed high for the comfort of the bird. The image below was taken in normal lighting.
