Hi y'all! I'm back, and I came home to a band-tailed pigeon that has been hanging around for the past 4 days. My Mississippi trip yielded 10 definite lifers (some were common) and several other birds that were unfamiliar and I couldn't get a good enough look at them. Here's my definite list of lifers as well as some other neat birds. Mississippi kite Northern Mockingbird Laughing gull (about as common there as our Glaucos-winged here) Least tern Brown pelican (20 at one time) Carolina wren American Oystercatcher Eastern towhee Northern Parula ;D Hooded warbler ;D Other birdsSpotted sandpiper Black-bellied plover ( I tried in vain to make it an American Golden-plover) Scarlet tanager (only my second sighting!) Gray catbird Red-bellied woodpecker Northern Cardinal, blue jay, etc. Looks like the birds have been busy out here, looking at the website! Jeff
